Maxxforce 7 problems.

I have a 2010 Maxxforce DT (07-09 engine) My check engine light came on and I started loosing power. Then my dpf flashing light came on and thankfully got to my truck parking yard safely. I hooked up servicemaxx and besides the dpf codes I get this one. If the system is manually primed it will run for about 5 seconds, then chug and stall. All the fuel lines seem tight with no fuel leakage or diesel fuel smell. The engine builds lots of oil pressure while cranking.

So I took it in to have it looked at. Dealer couldn't find any faults. Most likely your engine was made in 2012, probably has the older DPF, needs a new DPF and several ECM changes which have been made to enhance the DPF life. The newer DPF is less restrictive. The possibilities are endless. International once had a great rep for service, the Maxxforce series changed that for certain.
